Philippe Senderos Premier Cup: Servette FC 2000

Philippe Senderos

Senderos helped Servette to the Premier Cup 2000 World Finals in Holland. He also captained the U-20 National Team at the World Championships and the U-17 National team that won the European Championship in 2002. An integral part of the defence which did not concede a single goal in open play during their 2006 World Cup campaign, Senderos scored an unforgettable header against South Korea. Always committed on the pitch, he did not miss a minute’s play for Switzerland in Euro 2008, despite sustaining injury.

Senderos is currently on a season-long loan to AC Milan from English Premiership side Arsenal.

Johan Vonlanthen Premier Cup: BSC Young Boys 1999

Although born in Colombia, Vonlanthen has lived in Switzerland for many years and elected to play for the Swiss national team. He made history as the youngest ever scorer in a European championship final with a goal against France in Euro 2004. Vonlanthen currently plays for Red Bull Saltzburg.

Marco Schönbachler Premier Cup: FC Zurich 2004

On the 10th of February 2007, Marco made his debut in the men’s senior team and at only 17 years-of-age became one of the youngest players ever to play in the Swiss Super League, helping his team to league victory in his first season. He is yet to start as a full international.
